THE FLORIDA DESTINATION THAT SURPRISED ME

I just got back from a Florida destination that genuinely surprised me — and I can't tell you everything yet, but here is the hint...stunning golf resort in Lake County, Florida. But I will say this: the golf course views stopped me cold, the spa was worth every minute, and the food? Let's just say I took notes. Stay tuned.

FAVORITE DOG FRIENDLY RESTAURANT IN FLORIDA

Not so hidden in Marion County is a sprawling equestrian destination with the best dog-friendly dining in the state — and honestly, the best dining experience we’ve had in ages.

Located at World Equestrian Center, The Yellow Pony Pub is hands down fabulous. Our 18-year-old Maltese, Zach, loves hanging out on what I call the “hotel dining lanai” — an expansive outdoor space just outside the restaurant, filled with lively music several nights a week, shady umbrellas, and food that makes my mouth water just thinking about it.

Zach gives it five stars. They provide bowls, and — well — we may have accidentally dropped a little something his way.
